Machine intelligence algorithms will need to be redesigned in a distributed architecture, and deployed to the edge for wide range of use cases in IoT, 5G, video/NLP and so on. This requirement may rise due to cost efficiency, privacy, or latency budgets. This talk will discuss design choices made for such a system, demonstrate the benefits in addressing the efficiency/privacy/latency requirements, and share the experiences learned. This work is conducted as an internship project for OPNFV's Clover and Edge Cloud projects.
