SD-OTN and SD-WAN are important SDN based services, which could be provisioned and managed by a generic automation platform as an addition to the legacy OSS systems. The panelists from China Mobile, Vodafone and Huawei are working on such a use case in ONAP Casablanca. They will share the use case design, technical architecture, application scenarios and the joint R&D plans. This use case starts from the actual needs of the existing network, and proposes to implement topology discovery, inter-domain resource coordination, dynamic rerouting, and protection and recovery control and orchestration of multiple SD-OTN domains based on the open source Orchestrator and Legacy OSS system, and SD-WAN. Finally, the Use Case will enable creation of cross carrier connectivity services by creating interconnection interfaces across different operators.
