A state of the art Continuous Deployment Pipeline is to network automation as reusable booster rockets are to space missions: you can Launch, Land, Repeat, reliably and cheaply. It is a critical capability to enable rapid iterative innovations that ultimately can achieve higher degree of automation sooner than the alternatives. This talk will report the experiences of designing, deploying and experimenting with a Spinnaker based CD framework on Kubernetes as an initiative for both OPNFV and ONAP communities, and share preliminary results in utilizing operational data and autonomous testing methods in the CD pipeline to implement A/B, Green/Blue and Canary deployments, in zero touch style.
