With the emergence of 5G, edge computing becomes hot topic for the industry. Telco Operators, with tens of thousands of Central offices already located at the edge, would like to take advantage on the CO to build future edge cloud. In this session, we would like to share the possible usecase, strategy, requirements and network structure of future edge cloud in China Mobile. We would also like to share our vision on the roles of the multiple open source communities which are quite active in edge, such as Akraino, OpenStack, OPNFV and etc.. China Mobile is conducting edge focusing field trails within this year. We will also share the progress for the field trails as well.
