Monitoring is critical to everyone's infrastructure. Systems like Prometheus are rapidly gaining popularity in the cloud-native world. Working with billions of metrics from applications and infrastructure is now possible. OpenMetrics is a project to evolve the popular Prometheus monitoring system metrics format into a community standard. This talk will cover some of the history of Prometheus and how we're working with the community to bring this easy to implement format to the world.
