Currently Ignacio is Senior Solution Architect at Red Hat EMEA Telco technology Office, focusing on Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and working with Service Providers, Network Equipment Providers, System Integrators and Independent Software Vendors to progress NFV agenda in the industry.

Red Hat has solid plans and products in telecom networking domain for NFV and SDN, combining those with industry leading Open Source development and business model. Domain focus has been and is NFV Readiness of Red Hat OpenStack Platform today and container platform in near future. Ignacio also covers other topics like automation for applications and networks (legacy & virtualized) and blockchain applications for telco. As part of his role, he co-leads Red Hat's efforts on 5TONIC, the 5G research and innovation laboratory.

Earlier, Ignacio worked as a Solution Architect for NEC Spain, delivering NFV and SDN projects (like vCPE) and as a contractor for Ericsson holding multiple roles like QA tester and systems' engineering.

He holds a Master's degree in computer science from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
