John Zannos has global responsibility for Inocybe business ( formally CEO of Inocybe now GM of Inocybe as part of Kontron). Previously, he was Vice President / General Manager of Cloud Platform business and Business Development at Canonical, where he was responsible for execution of the Ubuntu Cloud business, ecosystem/BD, alliances and strategy. He was also responsible for leading Canonicals’ strategy for Telecom with a focus on the application of cloud, scale-out, NFV, SDN and VNF technologies. During his career John has lead business and technology efforts around cloud computing, big data, telecom, networking, utility computing, hosting, application management, security, and content distribution networks. Prior to working at Canonical, he held technology leadership positions at HP, IVIA, Compaq, Digital, Boston University, USEPA and ARCO. John is a member of the Linux Foundation Networking (LFN) Governing Board and has been a member of the Board of Directors of OpenStack, OPNFV, Open-O and OpenPOWER foundations. He is one of the Founding Silver Members of ONAP (Open Network Automation Platform). He also served as Chairman of the OpenPOWER board. His interest is to ensure an open and thriving technology ecosystem that drives innovation and collaboration through open technology in networking and compute. He earned a Master's of Science from Boston University and a Bachelors of Science from Bucknell University. He splits his time between Boston and San Francisco.
