Ramki has a deep understanding of various technologies and strong business acumen to lead and transform innovation into customer-winning products. His expertise includes a wide range of technologies and markets - SDN, Virtualization etc. Ramki drove an extremely successful differentiated SDN product initiative for Brocade, winning the ONS 2014 SDN Idol award. Ramki is a recognized innovator with 19 US patents, 8 IEEE conference papers with a best paper award. Ramki is a speaker in key conferences such as ONS, OpenStack, OpenDaylight etc. Ramki is a leader and active participant in open source and open
research/standard organizations – ONAP, Kubernetes, OpenStack, OSM, OPNFV, IETF/IRTF, ETSI NFV, 3GPP. I co-chair the NFV Research Group
(NFVRG) in IETF.

Currently, at VMware, Ramki is responsible for Distributed Telco Cloud open source technology vision, strategy and architecture notably ONAP, Kubernetes and DPDK. Ramki's VMware speaking experience includes presentations in Kubecon and ONAP conferences.
